About Children’s Mental Health Week

What is Children's Mental Health Week?

Children's Mental Health Week is a mental health awareness week that empowers, equips and gives a voice to all children and young people in the UK. Place2Be launched the week in 2015 to encourage more people than ever to help us reach our goal that no child or young person has to face a mental health problem alone.

When is Children's Mental Health week?

Children’s Mental Health Week 2025 is taking place from 3-9 February 2025.

Look back at 2024

The theme of Children’s Mental Health Week 2024 was My Voice Matters. We encouraged children and young people to express themselves so they could say - and believe - "My Voice Matters".

This year's theme was 'My Voice Matters'

During Children’s Mental Health Week 2024 we encouraged all children and young people, whoever they are, and wherever they are in the world, to be able to say – and believe - “My Voice Matters”.

My Voice Matters is about empowering children and young people by providing them with the tools they need to express themselves.

When we feel empowered, this can have a positive impact on our wellbeing. Children and young people who feel that their voices are heard and can make a difference have a greater sense of community and self-esteem. This year, we want children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to be empowered to work together to create a positive change for their mental health and wellbeing.

During Children’s Mental Health Week we want all children and young people, whoever they are, and wherever they are in the world, to be able to say – and believe - “My Voice Matters”.
